Visiting Pastry Chef Lasheeda Perry

Salamander Washington DC is elated to welcome visiting Pastry Chef Lasheeda Perry this spring. Throughout her impressive culinary journey, she has appeared on several Food Network shows and held the title of Executive Chef for top luxury resorts in Atlanta and Beverly Hills. Her delectable desserts are delicious and encompass the beauty that life has to offer. Chef Lasheeda partnered with our expert culinary team to reimagine our sweet creations for the spring season and beyond.  

Cherry Blossom Afternoon Tea | March 10 – April 16

Guests will enjoy a refined and renewing experience with our cherry blossom inspired Afternoon Tea. Featuring a premium selection of loose-leaf teas, a glass of celebratory bubbles, homemade scones, tea sandwiches, and pastry delights curated by visiting Pastry Chef, Lasheeda Perry.    

Daily seatings available in The Lounge at 1:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Guests can also enjoy Afternoon Tea from the comfort of their room via In Room Dining.

Cherry Blossom Festival March 18 – April 16

Salmander DC is a proud hotel partner of the National Cherry Blossom Festival. 

Nestled between The National Mall and The Wharf, our hotel is a short walk from the nation’s most cherished monuments, and the city’s famed cherry blossom trees, blooming annually along the Tidal Basin and in our majestic Garden Terrace.

Enjoy the National Cherry Blossom Festival’s artistic celebration of the 1912 flight of trees from Tokyo to Washington DC, and an annual tribute to the longstanding friendship between Japan and the US.

Cherry Blossom Express Lunch | March 24 - April 8

Daily | 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

A specialty Express Lunch Menu will be available in the Breakfast Room from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. featuring an array of signature Salamander dishes and a selection of beverages. Grab & Go options available for guests who plan to enjoy a day of sightseeing in the nation’s capital.

Easter Egg Hunt | April 9

11:00 - 11:30 a.m. | 2:00 - 2:30 p.m. | Brunch Reservations Required

It wouldn't be Easter at Salamander DC without an Easter egg hunt! 

Set on the property’s picturesque Grand Patio, children are invited to search for a bright and colorful assortment of eggs with the help of the hotel's very own Easter bunny.

Reserved for guests who have a brunch reservation at 11:30 a.m. or 2:30 p.m.


Easter Sunday Brunch April 9

April 9th | Seatings at 11:30 a.m & 2:00 p.m.

The menu will feature brunch favorites including made-to-order eggs and omelets, Belgium waffles, and morning pastries as well as savory quiche bites and artisanal salads. Additional appetizers include selections of cheeses, king crab claws, oysters, shrimp cocktail, smoked salmon, and more. A traditional carving station takes center stage with roasted prime rib, carved spring lamb leg, and additional culinary delights. A children’s buffet will also be available with mini cheeseburgers, grilled cheese, chicken tenders, and more. Finish the meal with signature Salamander sweets treats.
